Referral Program

Beyond sub-key reselling, derouter.ai offers a tiered referral commission (5% – 30%) as a passive income stream. Share your referral link, and whenever someone signs up through it and uses the API, you earn a cut of their consumption — automatically, with zero management overhead. Your rate goes up as your referred users top up more.

How It Works

Every derouter.ai account gets a unique referral code. When someone signs up through your referral link and starts using the API, you earn commission on their consumption — automatically, for as long as they keep using the service.

1. Share your referral link: https://derouter.ai?ref=YOUR_CODE
2. Your referred users sign up and top up their accounts.
3. As they consume API credits, a portion of the margin is credited to your balance — automatically.

Commission Tiers

Your commission rate is determined by the cumulative top-up totalof all users you've referred. The counter never resets — only goes up.

Tier upgrades take effect instantly on the next commission settlement. There's no downgrade — once you hit a tier, it's yours forever.

Legacy Protection

If you were already an active referrer (had at least one referred user) before the tiered system launched, your commission rate is permanently locked at 30%— regardless of your cumulative referred top-ups. You'll see a Legacy 30% badge on your Referral page. No action needed — your rate stays 30% no matter what.

Share With Your Referred Users

New: you can optionally split a portion of your commission back to the users you refer. Set it anywhere from 0% to 90% on the Referral page.

• How it works: If you set the split to 50% and you're on the 30% tier, you keep 15% and 50% of what's left (15%) is credited to your referred user's balance on every one of their API calls.
• Why use it: Offer your community a direct discount. They see a line item in their balance history, branded as a rebate from you.
• Change anytime: The split applies to future commission settlements. Past commission is not affected.

Commission Details

• Rate: 5% – 30% of the platform margin on each API call made by your referred user, based on your current tier.
• Payout: Commissions are credited directly to your derouter.ai balance — no minimum threshold, no payout delay.
• Duration: Lifetime. Once bound, you earn from that user's consumption indefinitely.
• Binding: One-time. A user can only be referred by one person. Mutual binding (A refers B, B refers A) and chain cycles are blocked automatically.
• Refunds & clawback: If a referred user gets refunded, a proportional clawback is applied to the commission they generated.

Custom Referral Code

By default you get an auto-generated 8-character code. You can customize it to any 3–20 character alphanumeric string (hyphens allowed), making it easy to brand: derouter.ai?ref=MY-BRAND. Manage your code on the Referral page.

Tracking Earnings

The Referral page shows your real-time stats:

• Current Tier & Rate — which tier you're on and the next threshold.
• Total Referred Top-ups — cumulative top-up sum used for tier calculation.
• Total Commission — gross commission earned (before you give any to referred users).
• Given to Referred — total credited back to your referred users via the split.
• My Net Income — what you kept after the split and any clawbacks.
• Referred Users — list of users you referred (email masked) with their top-up totals.

Referrals vs Sub-Key Reselling

derouter.ai offers two distribution models. They're complementary, not mutually exclusive — many users run both simultaneously.

2. Go to the Referral page and copy your link.
3. Share it on your blog, Twitter, Telegram community, or tutorial videos.
4. Watch your tier, commission, and referred-user list grow on the Referral page — no further action required.
